"ChatGPT Workspace"(이하 "확장 프로그램")는 chatgpt.com을 폴더/즐겨찾기/검색/프롬프트 라이브러리로 정리할 수 있게 도와주는 Chrome 확장 프로그램입니다. 본 방침은 확장 프로그램이 어떤 정보를 다루는지 설명합니다.

1. 수집하는 정보

확장 프로그램은 어떤 정보도 외부 서버로 전송하지 않습니다. 모든 데이터는 사용자의 브라우저 안(chrome.storage, IndexedDB)에만 저장되며, 개발자를 포함한 누구에게도 전송되지 않습니다.

• 폴더, 프롬프트: 사용자가 직접 생성한 이름/내용이 브라우저 로컬 저장소에 저장됩니다.
• 대화 제목/ID: 사용자가 이미 보고 있는 ChatGPT 페이지의 사이드바에서 대화 제목과 ID만 읽어와 폴더 분류·검색·즐겨찾기 기능에 사용합니다. 대화 본문(메시지 내용)은 읽거나 저장하지 않습니다.

2. 정보 사용 목적

위 정보는 오직 확장 프로그램 자체의 기능(폴더 분류, 검색, 즐겨찾기, 프롬프트 삽입)을 사용자의 브라우저 안에서 동작시키기 위해서만 사용됩니다. 광고, 분석, 마케팅 목적으로 사용되지 않습니다.

3. 제3자 공유

수집·저장하는 정보를 제3자와 공유하거나 판매하지 않습니다. 별도의 분석(Analytics) 도구나 광고 SDK를 사용하지 않습니다.

4. 데이터 삭제

Chrome에서 확장 프로그램을 제거하면 위에 설명된 로컬 저장 데이터가 함께 삭제됩니다. 언제든지 직접 제거할 수 있습니다.

5. 권한 사용 이유

• storage: 폴더/프롬프트/대화 분류 정보를 로컬에 저장하기 위함.
• chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com 호스트 권한: 해당 페이지에 사이드바 UI를 표시하고 대화 목록을 읽어오기 위함. 다른 웹사이트에서는 동작하지 않습니다.

"ChatGPT Workspace" is a Chrome extension that helps you organize chatgpt.com with folders, favorites, search, and a prompt library. This policy explains what data the extension touches.

1. What we collect

The extension does not send any data to an external server. Everything is stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage, IndexedDB) and is never transmitted to the developer or anyone else.

• Folders and prompts you create are stored in local browser storage.
• Conversation titles and IDs are read directly from the ChatGPT sidebar you are already viewing, used only to power folder/search/favorite features. Message content is never read or stored.

2. How it's used

This data is used solely to run the extension's own features locally in your browser. It is not used for advertising, analytics, or marketing.

3. Third-party sharing

We do not share or sell any collected data. No analytics or advertising SDKs are used.

4. Data deletion

Removing the extension from Chrome deletes the locally stored data described above. You can uninstall it at any time.

5. Why we request these permissions

• storage: to save your folders, prompts, and conversation organization locally.
• chatgpt.com / chat.openai.com host permissions: to display the sidebar UI and read the conversation list on those pages only. The extension does not run on any other site.
